A two-day Tourism Career Expo is among activities planned to mark Tourism Month.
The Ministry of Tourism is spearheading the activities to build public awareness and strengthen inter-tourism industry relationships.
The Expo was held at the Richmond Hill Playing Field on 12th and 13th November.
Minister of Tourism, Hon. Cecil McKie, said that the Expo featured some of the many careers that are available in the tourism industry and is intended mainly for students.
Other activities included a Tourism Exhibition at Heritage Square, a Photo Challenge for the general public, the launch of a tourism sitcom and comic book, ‘Know Your Country’ tours for industry staff, members of the local media and the police force.
There was also be the Annual Tourism Youth Congress for secondary students and a Tourism Debate for tertiary students at the divisions of the Community College.
