The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, in collaboration with the World Bank, is preparing the OECS Regional Tourism Competitiveness Project.
The main objective of this project is to improve the competitiveness of the tourism sector by:
- facilitating the movement of persons between participating countries;
- increasing spending at select tourism sites; and
- strengthening implementation capacity for regional tourism market development.
As part of the project preparation exercise, an Environmental and Social Management Framework is being developed. The framework would provide guidance on how the environmental and social considerations, relative to the project activities, will be managed.
The Government invites interested parties to review the draft Framework and provide comments by 26th August, 2016.
