Winners in the various categories of the SVG Nine Mornings festival received their prizes on Saturday January 6th at the Peace Memorial Hall.

The winner of the National Lighting up competition was Point Village, the community of Rose Bank placed second, while third place was awarded to Belvedere and fourth position was awarded to Town Hill and Rose Hall.

The National Lotteries Authority Best Community on Parade was awarded to Point Village, Green Hill, second while the third and fourth positions were awarded to Stubbs and Owia respectively. The zonal winners also received their prizes.

The community of Point Village was adjudged the NLA Best Community Song; second position was Rose Bank, while Fitz Hughes and Stubbs took the third and fourth spots, respectively.

Stubbs was awarded as the NLA Best Nine Mornings Community; Richland Park was second and third place went to Coulls Hill and Carriere fourth.

The NLA Best Christmas Community was awarded to Coulls Hill, the community of Richland Park placed second, Carriere placed third and fourth place was awarded to Fitz Hughes.

Meanwhile, “Christmas Rub Down” and “In the Morning” by Rondy ‘Luta’ McIntosh were respectively awarded first and second positions in the NLA most popular Local Christmas Song, “Yo tell ah lie” by Roger “Landlord” Thompson placed third and the fourth spot was awarded to Rollie Bowman with “Give”.
