On Wednesday, 17th September, 2025, we ratified the Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction - commonly known as the BBNJ Agreement.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has validated its draft National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP) 2026-2030, positioning the country to implement the global Kunming-Montreal Biodiversity Framework. Thirty-six (36) representatives from government, civil society, academia, and the private sector participated in the validation workshop held at Beachcombers Hotel on October 23rd, 2025.
