The Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development, and Culture joins its regional counterparts to celebrate “Caribbean Tourism Month” from the 1st – 30th of November under the theme “One Caribbean: Investing in Our People, Protecting Our Planet, Prosperity for All.”

The theme hinges on “underscoring the interconnectedness and the shared future of Caribbean nations and territories.” The Ministry has partnered with tourism and hospitality stakeholders to host several activities to raise the tourism profile in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The month of activities will commence with a message from Carlos James, Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development, and Culture, to emphasize the significant contribution of tourism development in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.  The message would be shared with all media houses and posted on the Ministry’s social media platforms (@tourismsvg and @vincytourism).

The Cruise Ship Terminal will be bustling with excitement and entertainment on the 2nd of November, 2023, as officials from the Port Authority, St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority, and Ministry of Tourism, warmly welcome passengers and crew from Britannia, the first (1st) cruise call to port Kingstown. Passengers would be allowed to be immersed in the culture of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines with live music and other cultural entertainment. Cultural packages would also be planned for the nine (9) inaugural calls scheduled for the 2023-24 cruise season.

A welcome ceremony has been planned for the two (2) inaugural calls, Mein Schiff 4 and Norwegian Gateway, which are scheduled to visit Port Kingstown on the 8th and 10th of November, respectively.

Tourism stakeholders will worship together at the Kingstown Baptist Church on the 5th of November.

Apart from the series of National Community Tourism Consultations that are taking place throughout Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Ministry has organized a Community Tourism Outreach in the communities of South and Central Leeward for 16th November.

As part of the Tourism Month activities, community groups are invited to participate in a Project Proposal Writing Workshop scheduled for the 22nd and 23rd of November. The workshop aims to help community groups develop ideas and enhance SVG's existing tourism products and services.

The Know Your Country Tour and Tourism Lecture, scheduled for the 24th and 28th of November, respectively, are additional activities geared toward empowering stakeholders and increasing knowledge about the industry.

Other activities for Tourism Month include a Tourism Colloquium, and a Tourism Awards Ceremony and a Cocktail Reception. The Awards Ceremony will be held to appreciate the contribution and commitment of stakeholders in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Vincentians are encouraged to participate in the 2023 Tourism Month activities.
