A year-round service from Toronto to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will commence on Sunday, 7th April, 2024. The year-round service by Air Canada is an improvement from the seasonal service that was suspended during the summer months since the last two years.
Minister James made the announcement during the State of the Tourism Industry Address on Tuesday, 23rd January, 2024 at the Cruise Ship Terminal in Kingstown.
“We have successfully negotiated year-round service from Toronto to the destination, the weekly summer service will commence on April 7 through to October 27, 2024, and the winter season will see a continuation of service with increased flights to the destination,” the Tourism Minister said.
Noting that several challenges, including shortage of crew, planes, and new regulatory measures have impacted the availability of more frequent flights to the destination, Minister James assured that Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will now have year-round service from all major source markets.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is currently serviced by several international carriers, including Air Canada out of Toronto, Virgin Atlantic flying from London Heathrow, Caribbean Airlines flying from New York JFK International Airport and American Airlines flying from Miami International.
More announcements will be made soon on new carriers coming to the destination, Minister James said.
