The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority will be using a phased approach to update its brand locally and externally.
That’s according to the Marketing Manager at the Tourism Authority, Alex Barnwell.
Speaking at a media launch on Saturday, October 31, Mr. Barnwell explained that this process will take time.
He noted: "We have a lot of partners out of the country that have outdated materials now; they have the old logo. We have places in Saint Vincent—if you look at our pedestals, our village signs, and whatnot—they carry the emblem of the previous logo. We have to go through a phased approach now to replace these with this wonderful new brand you see here today. This consultation is not just going out there painting and putting up logos; it's also re-establishing community, re-establishing networks, understanding where our partners are, what they are doing, and how they are interacting with the brand. But now as you have learned, we have three new pillars, and those three pillars require intentionality on how we actually convert that awareness into visitors to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. So the work, as the CEO has said, is very practical and very real, and it's going to take some time."
